About the Fashion: With costumes designed by the legendary Edith Head, Grace Kelly (a real-life princess) sports one gorgeous summer ensemble after another. Hitchcock asked Head to dress Kelly as if she was “slightly untouchable.” Kelly sports instantly iconic looks such as an elegant monochromatic dress with a full white ‘circle’ skirt and off the shoulder top, followed by a green pistachio colored suit on top of a beautiful white halter top and white pillbox hat (which was a trendy style in the ‘50s). Every piece of clothing that Kelly wears in the film perfectly encapsulates the high society fashion of the 1950s.
