Faced with a terminal illness, Captain Bill Doodlum retires from the Navy to quietly end his life without his family knowing. When he accidentally shoots down a Navy fighter jet, he's forced to accept his family's love before he dies. A dark comedy about connection, mortality, and the lengths we go for the ones we love. Based on the PEN/Hemingway Award-winning short story by Mark Richard.
