Considered by some as one of the greatest American films ever made. George Stevens' epic drama tells the story of a factory worker played by Montgomery Clift who ascends through the ranks, falling initially for his lower class girlfriend (Shelley Winters) before becoming involved with a wealthy socialite (Elizabeth Taylor).
